I was meant to update this thing when I got out of hospital, but I completely forgot.

So, to keep things short and sweet...

I woke up in the Intensive Care Unit after my op and stayed there for the night. I was on and off with sleeping, as I had a tube going up my nose and into my throat. I'm guessing you can imagine how comfortable that was.
The next morning (Sunday) at around 6-7AM, I was taken up to my room. Here I was encouraged to get up and walk about (even if it was only to use the bathroom) and eat things I didn't want to. I wasn't dribbling at all which was very suprising.

After a few visits and such, Monday evening came around and I was thrilled to hear I could go home. When I got there, however, all seemed good until early Tuesday morning when I was throwing up left, right and center.

Then after recovering from the sickness, a few good days past and then came the ulcers. The mouthwash I'd been prescribed clearly wasn't doing it's job and after a day or so my mouth was FULL of them. Pretty much all of them were on the back of my throat, but a few were under my tongue. They hurt like HELL. They also stopped me eating and drinking as much as I should have been, because the pain was usually too much to bear.
Upon my visit to the hospital for my checkup (almost a whole WEEK of putting up with the ulcers), they gave me some steroid mouthwash and Difflam mouth spray to numb the pain. A few days of using this and...VOILA! They are now pretty much gone.

After just over 2 weeks (I think), the swelling's gone down a hell of a lot and my eating habits have regained their strength. No more ulcers, hardly any jaw pain...all is a LOT better than I thought it'd be.
